Location

Honeoye Lake Boat Launch State Park is 4.5 mi./7.2 km. south of the intersection of Main Street (U.S. Route 20A) and East Lake Road on East Lake Road not far from the southeastern end of the lake.

Facilities

Like a number of other state-operated boat launches, this one is between two houses. The entryway is paved, tree lined, and shaded with the lake about 1000 ft./305 m. in front of you. Resist the urge to go fast as there are some deep potholes in the road.

Enter the park proper and pay your parking fee at the booth. Turn right past the bathrooms and drive around in a counterclockwise direction until you are positioned to back into the launch area. This is a two-ramp concrete launch with a shared pontoon dock. LAUNCH will be on your RIGHT as you back up. Some boaters consider these ramps to be steep, so be careful.

The Honeoye Lake Boat Launch has two concrete ramps and a shared pontoon dock.

Canoes and kayaks may launch from the dock but most prefer to launch from the shore under the trees, which has a gentle slope into the water.

Kayakers use the boat launch regularly as the nearby inlet is an ideal place to explore and to enjoy wildlife.

There is parking for 30 vehicles with trailers. Overflow is onto the grass. Because of its proximity to Rochester, this is a popular launch and parking may be tight, even at odd times. There are several picnic tables under the trees and a nice bench along the shore.

Open from May to November. Pets must be leashed.
