Keuka Lake State Park offers two concrete launch ramps. Small motorboats and sailboats are the most popular crafts on the lake.

Location

Located south of Penn Yan on the northeast corner of the left branch of Y-shaped Keuka Lake, Keuka Lake State Park is within site of Esperanza, close to Kauka College, and within easy driving distance of many of the wineries around Keuka Lake.

Facilities

Besides it's beautiful, long views of Keuka Lake, the park offers many facilities. For the children there is a swimming beach and changing facility, a playground, and bike riding on the roads throughout the park.

 

The playground at Keuka Lake State Park, which looks out over the lake, provides children with a wide variety of experiences.

 

For boaters, there is a double concrete boat launch, 10 non-Keuka Lake State Park has 10 non-electric slips.electric slips, and docks that can accommodate boats up to 22 ft./6.7 m. long. The lake is not as long or as deep as some of the other lakes in the region, so most of the boats are either small motorboats or sailboats, though Keuka Lake is also a nice lake to explore by kayak.

 

A lovely lodge with a balcony that overlooks the lake is open to large group events and weddings. Shaded picnic tables are also available for small groups.

 

The lodge at Keuka Lake State Park is available for large groups such as reunions and weddings.

 

Much of the park is wooded with an excellent variety of native and non-native plants. A wide variety of birds are present especially during nesting season and migration. The park also has nearly 5 mi. /8 km. of marked, mostly shaded, hiking trails.

 

Trails in Keuka Lake State Park are marked by color. This is the orange trail, a pleasant walk through the woods next to a narrow gorge.

 

The local and state roads around the park are ideal for biking. Be sure to wear a helmet. Here is a proposed route.

 

The park is in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country. Here is a list of wineries around or near Keuka Lake.

 

In the winter, the trails and open areas are available for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Pets must be leashed everywhere in the park.

 

Open year round. Camping from early May to late October.

 

621 acres, 150 tent/trailer sites (53 electric)

 

Keuka Lake State Park has 150 camp sites available for both campers and tents.
