There are four naturally occuring, glacial lakes that run between the Village of Savona and the Hamlet of Sonora in Steuben County. All of these lakes are along or just off Round Lake Road. They are listed here in south to north order topographically.

Peterson

Peterson Lake is a small lake located on the east side of the road on private property. A view of the lake is blocked by tall trees. The lake is privately owned and not open to the public.

Round

Round Lake is a small kettle of probably 20 acres on the east side of the road. There is public access to this lake. It has its own page here.

Van Keuren

Van Keuren Lake is another small lake, this one located on the west side of the road. Part of the lake is in Birdseye Hollow State Forest. And can be accessed from within the forest. It has its own page here.

Sanford

Sanford is the largest and nicest of the four lakes. Like Van Keuren, it is on the west side of the road. It is open to the public. It has its own page here.
