Housed in a unique cobblestone schoolhouse built in 1838 in the shape of a Greek cross, the museum has wide range of historical exhibits, including household articles, ladies' finery, folk art, Indian artifacts, and lighting devices. The Historical Society has an unusually fine display of old toys, an excellent collection of military items, as well as collections of china, silver, and pewter ware.
