Historic Significance: Associated with Dr. Charles D. Clawson, who, in 1878, started a sanatarium in the hamlet of Havana, Town of Montour Falls. Using steam heated water from Montour Springs, the sanatarium treated the chronically ill and acted as a resort for the well-to-do. The Brick Tavern is home to the Schuyler County Historical Society.
