Verne Morton (1868-1945)

Verne Morton was born and died in the Finger Lakes. A professional photographer for all of his adult life, he used a large, heavy box camera to record life around him. Although he enjoyed capturing nature and its inherent beauty, his photographic style was more that of a recorder of events rather than that of an artist. For this reason, he presents us with a unique and poignantly accurate view of how life was during his time.
