There are nearly a dozen bed and breakfasts in Tioga County. If you've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, you will find them welcoming and relaxing. They provide all linens. (You will not be expected to bring towels or sheets as in a hostel.) Many bed and breakfasts in the Finger Lakes now take reservations on-line and some offer a discount for stays of three days or more. Tioga County also has inns.

Here are some questions you should ask when inquiring about accommodations at a bed and breakfast in the Finger Lakes:

Do you have a minimum number of nights you require guests to stay?
Do you allow smoking?
Do you allow pets?
Do you allow children?
Is your bed and breakfast directly on the lake or just nearby? If you're nearby, is there public access to the lake? Is there a beach, a dock for boats, etc?
What type of breakfast do you serve?
Can you accommodate special dietary requirements?
What are the check-in and check-out times?
What entertainment is nearby?
Do you have computer access or hook-up?
