Location

Cayuga Lake State Park is located on the northwest shore of Cayuga Lake, just south of Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.

Facilities

A family-oriented park, Cayuga Lake State Park offers a long sandy beach, supervised swimming in clean lake water, paved walking and biking trails, a playground, picnic areas, a boat launch site, and many other recreational opportunities.

Cayuga Lake State Park has a two-ramp boat launch and plenty of parking. The park has 3 pavilions for small groups and a large, rustic lodge overlooking the lake, the first floor of which is a bathhouse, the second floor of which is designed for large groups. The lodge is particularly appropriate for weddings and wedding receptions. Wedding ceremonies can be held outside along the lake shore, on the long balcony overlooking the lake, or inside by the stone fireplace. Seating depends on the type of tables used but generally ranges around 125 or more.

The lodge is located on the shore of Cayuga Lake and is ideal for group events like weddings and reunions.

Camping facilities are on higher ground that is shaded by mature trees. Besides the 286 tent and trailer sites and the 14 cabins, there is a three-bedroom cottage that sleeps 8. It comes fully equipped and is available year round. Group camping is also available. Camping is permitted from the last weekend in April to the last weekend in October.

The boat launch offers the standard 2 bays with cement ramps. There is also a paved pier near the playground and a wooden pier directly across from the main parking lot for short-term docking.

Cayuga Lake State Park provides lots of space for transient docking.

In the winter much of the park is available for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, though there are no groomed trails.

Pets must be leashed.
