LocationCayuga Lake State Park is located on the northwest shore of Cayuga Lake, just south of Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge. FacilitiesA family-oriented park, Cayuga Lake State Park offers a long sandy beach, supervised swimming in clean lake water, paved walking and biking trails, a playground, picnic areas, a boat launch site, and many other recreational opportunities.
Camping facilities are on higher ground that is shaded by mature trees. Besides the 286 tent and trailer sites and the 14 cabins, there is a three-bedroom cottage that sleeps 8. It comes fully equipped and is available year round. Group camping is also available. Camping is permitted from the last weekend in April to the last weekend in October.
The boat launch offers the standard 2 bays with cement ramps. There is also a paved pier near the playground and a wooden pier directly across from the main parking lot for short-term docking. In the winter much of the park is available for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, though there are no groomed trails.
Pets must be leashed.
