Home > Accommodations > InnsInns in the Finger LakesAlthough many accommodations call themselves inns, most are not. A true inn not only provides lodging but also provides meals (and alcoholic beverages), often separately from lodging. Historically inns, especially stage coach inns, were located on the main route between villages or on the village square where the stage coach stopped.
The Finger Lakes has two dozen inns. Many of these inns are historic and are interesting structures from both a historical and architectural perspective. Other inns are new and provide all the luxuries and amenities of a hotel but with a homeier atmosphere.
