Labyrinths in the Finger Lakes

Entrance stone to a labyrinth in the Finger Lakes, New York USA. The stone says "Enter this labyrinth with love and reverence for all living things. May you find peace, solace and magic in its center."

To enter a labyrinth is to embark on a personal journey on the path of consciousness--a path of spiritual growth through cleansing, self-seeking, and renewal. The traditional labyrinth has 11 concentric circles with 34 turns before one reaches the center. But other labyrinths exist and can be just as enjoyable. The Finger Lakes offers many opportunities to partake in these "inner" journeys.

KEY

Public or Private--If a labyrinth is listed as public, this indicates that it is in a place that is always open to the public. If the labyrinth is listed as private, you need to make an appointment to visit it.

Portable or Permanent--Canvas labyrinths are portable and, consequently, are only on display at certain times. You should call for times of display. Permanent labyrinths are available all the time.
