Home > Arts & EntertainmentAntiquing in the Finger LakesRemember that old saying, "If you can't find it here, it doesn't exist"? Well, that's just about the way it is in the Finger Lakes with antiques. How about a jade meditation stone or an antique tractor? Or perhaps a Betsy McCall doll, a wire plant stand, or an Ithaca Calendar Clock? We have them all and much more.
There are hundreds of antique shops in the Finger Lakes, but in addition to these established shops, you'll find many yard and roadside sellers--people who sell interesting antiques from their attics just for the fun of it. State Route 414 along the east side of Seneca Lake is a good example of a road that, in the summer, offers a lot of opportunities for roadside antiquing.

If roadside antiquing or driving from shop to shop doesn't appeal to you, check out the list of annual antique shows. Here you'll find 100+ dealers at a single venue.
Antiques go well with wine, so you may want to stop off as some of the many wineries in the region, and since you can't see it all in one day, check out the overnight accommodations for a great bed and breakfast or inn. Happy antiquing.
Please note: These county lists were updated in October 2006. Please help keep them current and accurate. If you find any errors, know of any dealers that are no longer in business, or know of dealers that should be on the list, please contact the publisher at publisher[at]ilovethefingerlakes.com. Thank you.
